Jordan Schneider is a freelance director and playwright based in New York City. Originally from Southern California, he received his BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University.

Influenced by his background in improv, a key facet of his artistry is working with what is available in the moment to create something visually arresting that propels the story forward and brings audiences closer and more connected to the action.

Directing highlights include: You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Urinetown: The Musical, Heathers: The Musical, Clue: Stay-at-Home Edition, and Spring Awakening. He recently produced and directed, Closed Too Soon, a cabaret concert at The Green Room 42. He also works as a teaching artist in after school theatre programs with NYC public school students to produce their own original short plays and musicals.

He seeks to expand opportunities and access for emerging artists and champions original works that imaginatively push the boundaries of what theatre can be in terms of genre and theme. He is currently pursuing his MSEd in Educational Theatre at City College of New York to continue his mission of creating new work that ignites and inspires the next generation of theatre makers.
